Short Grain Rice

Short grain rice offers very similar nutritional value to medium grain or long grain rice, but it has different textural properties. Whereas long grain rice tends to hold its shape during and after cooking, short grain rice becomes sticky, making it a great choice for puddings and casseroles.

Cooking hints:

This rice needs to be soaked for 20 minutes to relax the grain. Use one part rice to one and 1/8 part of water. Bring water to a boil, then reduce heat and cook, covered, for 10 minutes or until done.

One-fourth cup of short grain dry rice cooks up to approximately 1 cup of ready-to-eat rice. short grain raw white rice has about 180 calories, 3.25 g protein, 0.25 g fat, 39.5 g carbohydrates and 1.4 g fiber. Since it is a whole grain with bran and germ intact, short grain brown rice has greater nutritional value. In a dry 1/4 cup, there is about 170 calories, 3 g protein, 1.5 g fat, 38 g carbohydrates and 3 g dietary fiber. 5. Payment:

L/C at sight 100% total of invoice, or TTR 50% before loading and balance after showing B/L.

6. Shipment time:

Within 15days or 20 days upon receiving advance payment or workable L/C.
